Physician/APP Well-Being Resources

Community Health Network recognizes the critical importance of supporting the well-being of our physician/APP partners. Well-being goes beyond absence of burnout but rather includes participation in activities achieving physical vitality, work life balance, professional fulfillment and accomplishment, and resiliency.

Our goal is to provide resources to support and promote physician/APP well-being, manage and prevent burnout, and connect physicians/APPs to the joy of practicing medicine. Healthcare organizations that promote and develop effective physician/APP leaders demonstrate significantly reduced levels of burnout as well as increased physician/APP engagement, which results in higher quality care, improved patient safety, at lower cost. We believe exceptional physician/APP experiences at Community create exceptional patient experiences.

Physician and APP Collegiality and Social Networking

The Center for Physician Well-Being and Professional Development plans a number of social events each year. These informal gatherings are designed to promote collegiality, share ideas to improve work life balance, and discuss future strategies to reduce physician burnout. Examples of events are informal dinners and wine-tasting events with groups of 10-20 physicians and APPs hosted in the various regions of the network.

You can stay in-the-know about upcoming social or networking events through our email list. Email Taylor Wildauer to be included on our email list and receive up-to-date information or to provide ideas for future events.
