The VP Clinical Services, Chief Nurse Executive position is located in Anderson, IN.

Job Duties

The VP Clinical Services, Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) reports to the CEO and is responsible for effective management of the Patient Care Services Division which includes:
  • Quality Management (Case Management, Risk Management, Infection Control, Regulatory Readiness, Compliance, Medical Staff Peer Review),
  • Nursing Administration/Support Services (Adm. Representatives, Patient Rep, Clinical Education Coordinator),
  • Pharmacy,
  • Women and Children’s Services (Peds and Teens, OB/GYN, related classes and services),
  • CV Services (CVOP/Cardiac Recovery, Cath Lab, Quick Trip, Infusions),
  • Cancer Services,
  • Surgical Services,
  • Acute Care Medical-Surgical and ICU,
  • Ambulatory Clinical Services (Healthy Hearts Center, Diabetes Care Center, Anticoag),
  • Emergency Department,
  • Center for Advanced Wound Healing,
  • IP/OP Radiology, Lab, and Rehab Services.
The VP plays a key role in strategic planning for the Hospital, and participates on the Hospital’s Senior Administrative Team with a wide range of administrative duties. The VP effectively implements the hospital’s plan for the provision of nursing care and performs other responsibilities as required for the effective, safe, or efficient functioning / operation of the hospital. This leader ensures hospital operations are in compliance with current applicable Federal, State, and Local standards, and assures alignment of local strategic initiatives with Network strategic direction. The VP is expected to represent the Hospital and be actively involved in the community we serve.

Experience

  • Minimum of ten years of experience in progressive leadership roles in organizations marked by innovation, continuous improvement, and high quality service.
  • Experience in collaborating with physicians, engaging medical staff and employees in organization initiatives to improve processes, service, quality, and overall outcomes.
  • Track record of success working within a complex environment necessitating effective and credible interaction with and influence of both internal and external constituencies through the development of strong relationships.
  • Proven experience building effective teams. Develop independent leaders capable of advancement; appropriately empowers and drives accountability through the development of a team structure that facilitates teamwork and yields high performance.
Education

BSN required. MSN, MBA, MHA, MPH or related advanced degree required.

License

Current Indiana Registered Nurse License.

Skills
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal skills in order to interact and negotiate (verbally and in writing) with representatives of the Medical Staff, outside public and private agencies and others in situations involving the exchange and discussion of complex, sensitive information, which may affect the long-term success of the entire organization. Requires the ability to interact with all Hospital personnel and various outside representatives, and prepare and deliver presentations with various groups.
  • Requires strong leadership skills in order to motivate and stimulate caregivers toward performance in accordance with Hospital mission. Must communicate and exemplify corporate values and teamwork. Requires demonstrated ability to affect change and new learning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills necessary for short-and long-range planning for the division and for the entire Hospital.
  • Advanced managerial skills necessary to plan, organize, direct, and control the activities of a large-sized division.
