The Sr Health Plan Customer Service Assistant position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Duties

• The Sr Health Plan Customer Service Assistant will assist providers, members and payers with information relating to benefits and member claim status
• Responds to payer, members and provider phone calls and assists them in a timely manner by providing information or explanations
• Works closely with other ProHealth department to streamline the inquiry/resolution process


Minimum of two to three years of experience in healthcare, managed care, and/or customer service


• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Associate’s degree preferred


• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Understanding of health insurance and managed care
• Knowledge of physician office billing and reimbursement
• Attention to detail
• Ability to identify and resolve problems as they arise
