Job Duties

The Progressive Care Unit is an exciting, fast-paced environment ideal for nurses seeking to learn and grow in their nursing career. This 32-bed unit cares for a complex patient population. On this unit, nurses will care for patients with drips, central lines, and chest tubes. This unit cares for patients with renal, cardiac, neurological, bariatric, withdrawal and multi-system issues.

The Registered Nurse demonstrates performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, performance, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of the organization. The Registered Nurse manages patient care in the health care continuum to achieve optimum outcomes in a safe and cost-effective manner. The Registered Nurse demonstrates skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources.

Experience

Experience required

Education
Graduate of Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accredited school of nursing, or three years related professional nursing experience. 

License
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency required.
