Job Duties
The Cardiac Medical Progressive Care Unit is an exciting, fast-paced environment ideal for nurses seeking to learn and grow in the area of cardiovascular nursing. This 24-bed unit cares for patients with diagnoses of heart failure and new arrhythmias. On this unit, nurses also care for patients undergoing anticoagulation therapy, those that are post-heart catheterization and medical vascular patients. Community Heart and Vascular Hospital boasts its positive outcomes, great relationships, and a strong, cohesive team.

The Registered Nurse demonstrates performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, performance, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of the organization. The Registered Nurse manages patient care in the health care continuum to achieve optimum outcomes in a safe and cost-effective manner. The Registered Nurse demonstrates skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources

Experience
At least 6 months of acute care experience

Education
Graduate of Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accredited school of nursing, or three years related professional nursing experience.

License
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency required, or eligible to become licensed
