Location

This position is located in Fishers, IN.

Role Overview
Responsible for monitoring and performing diagnosis coding and the development of the plan of care. Monitors clinical documentation and ensures accurate coding is completed in a timely manner and that records are coded to the highest degree of specificity. Acts as a qualified coding resource person for clinicians and other coding staff. Monitors regulations and works within the ICD guidelines and regulations. Provides clinical staff education related to coding and coding guidelines.

Experience
At least two years of coding or home care experience preferred. Experience in OASIS and 485s preferred. Proficient computer skills and knowledge in Excel and Word preferred.

Education

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program, or three years related professional nursing experience. Certified in coding or will become certified within 1 year of hire. Certified in OASIS or will become certified within 1 year of hire.

License
Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Current Indiana driver’s license.

Skills
Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
