The Pulmonary Rehab Coordinator Registered position is located in Indianapolis, IN

Job Duties
  • The Pulmonary Rehab Specialist Coordinator is responsible for assessing patients for participation in, and Coordinating the Pulmonary Rehab program 
  • The coordinator provides respiratory-related skills training and coordinates the skill training provided by other departments, i.e., Pharmacy, Dietetics, and Chaplaincy 
  • Monitors and supervises physical conditioning
  • Keeps physician informed of patient progress 
  • Markets program
  • Monitors billing and reimbursements issues 
  • Conducts telephone follow-up with patients. Improves program as appropriate based on changing trends in pulmonary rehab. 
  • Coordinates communication opportunities with various Pulmonary Rehab staff members 

Pulmonary Rehab program experience preferred; three (3) to five (5) years experience as an Respiratory Therapist; along with supervisory experience preferred

Associate of Science Degree from an accredited college or university in Respiratory Therapy or
its equivalent is required.

Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner License required; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
by National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is preferred, CPR certified, ACLS can be obtain once employed

  • Understanding of Cardiopulmonary principles, theories and processes consistent with that required for state licensing and national RRT credentials
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with patients, staff, physicians, and visitors
  • Strong respiratory skills
