The Patient Insurance Representative position is located at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Duties

• The Patient Insurance Representative is responsible for ensuring timely scheduling appointments and transportation arrangements
• The representative will assist with discharge planners and case managers to provide an appropriate discharge plan
• The representative will handle all interactions with the highest level of professionalism and personal attention while achieving maximum patient satisfaction


• Three to five years of previous experience preferred
• Two years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred


• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Associate’s Degree preferred


• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Strong relationship skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional one-on-one interactions and phone skills
• Ability to multi-task, have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and be a team player
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Proficient in data entry with multiple software application usage
• Resourceful, creative thinker, ensuring timely resolution of patient/team/customer needs
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Ability to hear phone communications and respond verbally
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently
