Job Location

The Patient Financial Representative position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana


Job Duties

• The Patient Financial Representative position is designed to provide and ensure that all collection efforts have been reviewed
• Reviews all previous collection efforts made by Revenue Cycle Billing and Client Services to ensure all efforts have been exhausted in order for collection
• Reviews all accounts to determine eligibility for any additional aid


Experience

Three years of experience in a healthcare office environment. Financial and insurance billing experience preferred


Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent


Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact professionally with all customers
• Supports an environment of team work
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT
• Accurate and quick data entry skills
• Working knowledge of revenue cycle computer systems including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong math aptitude and critical thinking skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to perform in a fast paced environment
• Maintains patient confidentiality and documentation in appropriate manner for easy follow-up
