Under the supervision of the designated Director/Clinical Manager and the direction of the Registered Nurse in accordance with established hospital and nursing department policies and procedures provides direct technical patient care to assigned patients. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending on assigned work area; the following are characteristics of the nature and level of work performed by the nursing technician. Provides reception and clerical support to the nursing unit to facilitate the delivery of nursing care. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending on assigned work area.
This position is located in Anderson.
Provides direct patient care to assigned patients.
Six months of hospital/long term care experience in addition to three to six months of previous clerical/receptionist experience.
Previous department specific experience helpful. Knowledge of medical terminology may be required for some areas.
CNA certification and certification in basic cardiac life support.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required along with:
- Evidence of having completed a formalized basic nursing assistant course or 6 months of hospital/long term care experience
- Graduate from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant Training Program
- Evidence of having completed Indiana State EMT Training and Exam through The Certification Section of Indiana Emergency Services
- Completion of accredited school of nursing
