Job Location

The Patient Account Representative position is located in Fishers, Indiana


Job Duties


• The Patient Account Representative is responsible for conducting intakes and completing insurance verifications and authorizations for government and non-government payers
• Initiates the completes accurate Home Infusion patient intake information to enter in the appropriate management system
• Receives inbound phone calls from patients and referral sources with the intent to resolve the callers needs immediately in a pleasant, professional manner
• Responsible for reviewing insurance information for accuracy and completeness


Experience


• 2 years or more years’ experience in hospital billing and/or physician healthcare claims within a medium to large health care system
• Must be knowledgeable regarding payer billing guidelines and hospital and physician claim form billing requirements
• Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance carriers for HME, home care, hospice and/or home infusion preferred


Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Supports an environment of team work
• Ability to interpret payer contracts to determine expected reimbursement
• Must be able to work well in a fast paced environment and be able to adapt and learn quickly
