Job Location

The Patient Account Representative position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana


Job Duties

• The Patient Account Representative will be responsible for scheduling and pre-registration for Imaging Services
• Responsible for obtaining the necessary authorization prior to medical procedures
• Collecting and verifying patient and insurance demographics, securing pre-certifications and/or pre-notifications for patient services, collection of co-pay and deposits prior to services and providing financial assistance to patient


Experience

• Two (2) or more years of experience in hospital or physician healthcare customer service, patient access, claims, collections or billing within a medium to large healthcare system
• Prior MRI/CT Scan/Imaging experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred


Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent


Skills
• Strong computer, telephone, customer service and communication skills
• Thorough understanding of medical insurance reimbursement and payment methodology and insurance company interaction are required
• Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
