Job Location

The Patient Account Rep - Customer Service/Pre-Registration position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Duties

• Responsible for the collection of patient demographic and insurance information
• Verification of all insurance coverages
• Collection of co-pay and high deductibles prior to patients’ date of service
• Updating the system to reflect financial responsibility and communicate patient high deductible/co-pay amounts at the time of pre-registration
• Customer/patient focused with a strong emphasis on A/R management


Two (2) or more years of experience in hospital or physician healthcare customer service, patient access, claims, collections or billing within a medium to large healthcare system; Epic experience preferred


High School Diploma or equivalent


• Strong computer, telephone, customer service and communication skills
• Thorough understanding of medical insurance reimbursement and payment methodology and insurance company interaction are required
• Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
