Job Duties

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients and staff. This leader plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the overall clinical practices and activities necessary for the center to function on a daily basis. 
The Nurse Manager also:
  • Fulfills the role of Infection Prevention Officer 
  • Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Monitors actual patient care to assess the progress of the preoperative and postoperative process.
  • Communicates any delays preoperatively to surgeons, anesthesiologists, operating room, and registration staff in a timely and accurate manner to ensure optimal use of schedule and patient flow.
  • Maintains open communication with all staff to promote improvement in performance and quality care.
  • Evaluates the capture of daily charges, and maintains accountability for charges for supplies and equipment.
  • Participates in the interviewing, hiring, and counseling of employees.
Your Qualifications
  • 5+ years of OR nursing experience strongly preferred.
  • Associate’s graduate of accredited registered nurse program. Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • CNOR (within 3 years of employment).
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (within 6 months of employment).
  • Current Indiana Registered Nurse License.
