Where you fit in
The Neuro Specialty Coordinator (RN) will support the surgery leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing the neurosurgery service line needs. Will review and manage the neurosurgery cases, will ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available, will edit and create resource maps/preference cards for the surgeons. Will assist with training of new staff or staff new to that specialty. Will communicate with surgeons to ensure that team needs are being met. Will obtain department supported training on the latest technology and navigation systems, etc. Will function as back-up staff on neurosurgery cases. Will collaborate with all members of the surgical care team to provide exceptional care and compassion to our patient population and the families we serve. Will adhere to the AORN guidelines and standards for perioperative nursing.

The Neuro Specialty Coordinator (RN) will possess strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills. Will demonstrate ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task. Will be able to take direction well but also be self directed and motivated. Will possess a high degree of responsibility, responsiveness.
Your exceptional qualifications
Graduate of Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited school of nursing, OR three years related professional nursing experience. Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency required. Prefer at least 2 years+ experience working in the operating room environment. Neuro experience highly recommended.
