Job Location
The Manager, Sports Medicine position is located in Indianapolis, IN.
Supports team members at multiple locations.

Job Duties
The Manager, Sports Medicine:
  • Serves as a primary liaison with school Athletic Directors and other program/department partners.
  • Provides clinical supervision and administrative management of Athletic Trainers and Sports Medicine teams.
  • Supports and promotes the Program philosophy, vision, and mission.
  • Is responsible for supervision of assigned staff, development of programs and treatment procedures, monitoring departmental metrics and trends, supervision of quantitative and qualitative standards of care, interpreting policies and procedures, budgeting, and financial coordination and spending for assigned area
  • Participates in, or performs, other pertinent duties, tasks, and responsibilities as needed.
Experience
Five (or more) years of experience as an Athletic Trainer preferred.
Prior leadership/management experience preferred, but not necessarily required.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in health related field. Master’s Degree preferred (health related field or business).

License
Licensed in Indiana as Athletic Trainer.
Certified by the Board of Certification, Inc.

Skills
  • Must have general knowledge of the sports medicine, rehabilitation and therapy professions
  • Proven ability to function independently and/or collaboratively as a team member
  • Relationship building and team building skills
  • Enthusiasm for creating exceptional customer services
  • Basic business literacy including budgeting and the ability to interpret financial data
  • Ability to demonstrate basic leadership skills including, but not limited to: conflict management, teamwork, process improvement, relationship development, and communication.
  • Ability to make independent decisions after gathering information from internal and external sources
