Job Location
The Manager, Project Management Office position is located on the north side of Indianapolis, IN.

Job Duties
Under the direction of the Information Technology (IT) Vice President of Enterprise Services, the Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) will effectively:
  • Manage day-to-day activities in the PMO to ensure IT programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements through the use of standardized proven processes. 
  • Lead a team of project managers that are responsible for keeping priority projects for the enterprise on time, budget and within scope. 
  • Manage the project management team that handles all aspects of project planning, requirements gathering, scheduling and work planning, communications, issue resolution, and change management. 
  • Ensure the prioritized portfolio of projects are delivered following established methodologies, standards, policies and procedures as well as meeting the established success criteria and the associated communication and escalation strategies. 
  • Mentor the project management team by providing coaching and expertise to guiding them with assigned projects, as well as their professional growth and careers
Experience
Minimum of ten (10) years of project-related experience and 2+ years of managerial experience.

Education
Undergraduate Degree in an Information Technology or business-related field required.

License
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Program Management Professional (PgMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

  • Excellent communication skills, oral, written and, in particular active listening.
  • Proven ability to manage the intricacies and complexities of a PMO group and customers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment consisting of customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, and balance competing demands of customers and programs/projects.
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills.
  • Ability to develop and foster positive customer and team relationships.
  • Professional attitude, personal drive, initiative, attention to detail, commitment to excellent customer service, and strong work ethic.
  • Expert working knowledge of project, program and portfolio management principles.
  • Project Management and/or Program Management Certification.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
