Job Location

The Patient Access Lead position is located in Greenwood, Indiana

Job Duties

• The Patient Access Lead will help coordinate all aspects of Patient Access in a manner that ensures a customer-focused quality conscious work climate
• The primary function of this position is to provide continual assessment and feedback to the appropriate team members and to the Patient Access management team
• The Patient Access Lead will be the primary contact person for staff on a daily basis to ensure the department and customer expectations are being met
• This position requires participation in on-call rotation within the department


• Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare/medical office environment


• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Associate’s Degree preferred in Healthcare Management, Business, Education or related field


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• General knowledge of patient accounts
• Knowledge of registration requirements
• Working knowledge of billing/insurance requirements
• Knowledge of insurance requirements including: pre-certification, insurance verification, pre-registration and scheduling
• Ability to interact well with all types of customers
• Ability to develop and implement new processes
• Knowledge of medical terminology


Must pass pre-hire testing:
• Math (85%)
• Customer Service Testing (85%)
• Data Entry Alpha Numeric (5500kph)
