Job Duties
The Facilities Manager:
  • Is responsible for maintaining an environment of care which provides a safe, functional, and clean treatment facility for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Ensures all code and regulatory compliance documentation is maintained.
  • Serves as computer systems expert for the work order management system.
  • Provides expertise in building maintenance with specialty on building envelope maintenance and construction management.
Your Qualifications
  • 10 years facilities experience with 5 years in hospital maintenance environment. 
  • 2 years facilities computer software experience required.
  • B.S. degree in an engineering, technology or facilities related discipline.
  • Certifications in National Fire Protection Association Code education a plus.
Your Skills
  • Demonstrated skills in the following engineering disciplines required:
    • Building structure, roofs, brick, windows.
    • HVAC systems.
    • Steam generation systems.
    • Electrical and power distribution.
    • Refrigeration equipment.
    • Plumbing systems.
    • Construction methods.
    • PC Computer skills with Microsoft Office products.
    • PC skills with database applications for work order management.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and writing diagrams.
    • Ability to use AutoCAD and Revit design tools.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance principles, theories, and operations as related to the engineering disciplines above.
  • Working knowledge and ability to use a building automation computer system.
  • Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
  • Good oral and written communication, including reading and writing skills.
  • Ability to work with peers in a team situation.
