The Director Surgery Center position is located in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Duties

The Director coordinates and manages the Surgery Center’s planning, development, and operations to assure the best possible healthcare is provided to patients of the Center. This leader directs the Center’s operations in a manner which provides:
  • Establishment and maintenance of total quality healthcare services with focus on Excellent Experiences for patients, staff, and surgeons,
  • Commitment to the PRIIDE Values and vision of the Center,
  • Effective leadership to assure accomplishment of Center goals and targets,
  • Evaluation of current processes, resource usage and facility assets to prepare for anticipated changes in the market,
  • A hospitable and caring service for patients’ family, friends, physicians’ office staff, and all other external clients,
  • Empowered nursing personnel who are both well trained and committed to provide service excellence,
  • A profitable, cost-effective operation.

The Director is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients and staff in the center. This leader plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the overall clinical practices and activities necessary for the center to function on a daily basis, and coordinates the development and implementation of policies and procedures. The Director promotes a positive work environment to enhance employee and patient satisfaction.

Experience

Operating Room or Endoscopy / procedural experience strongly preferred. One to three years of experience required.

Education

Bachelor’s required. Master’s required. Either the Bachelor’s or Master’s must be in nursing. Master’s is required within five (5) years of assuming the role. Certification required in a relevant specialty or Nursing Administration within three (3) years of assuming the role.

License

Current Indiana Registered Nurse License

  • Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of nursing care according to AORN and ASPAN professional standards of care.
  • Requires a high degree of responsibility, confidentiality and discretion.
  • Remains calm and effective in stressful situations.
  • Able to prioritize, organize and multi-task.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, professionalism, communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to identify, intervene appropriately and resolve problems in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Able to use leadership skills to promote teamwork as a role model and support and practice the mission, vision, objectives and goals of the organization.
