Job Location

The Director of Provider Compensation position is located in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Duties

The Director of Provider Compensation ensures that the detail elements of provider compensation models and strategies are designed to meet the objectives determined by the Community Physician Network (CPN) Board and President of the Medical Group, and that the models align with provider and Network goals and are consistent with any external provider compensation regulations. The director will:
  • Develop, implement and provide on-going analysis of the compensation models to include scenario modeling and developing the mechanisms to hardwire quality and other performance components in the model.
  • Oversee the quarterly physician compensation process and annual advance practice provider compensation review and process.
  • Be the “go to” person for understanding and providing information on market trends and strategies that impact the provider compensation processes.
Experience

A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in provider compensation that includes experiences in developing, implementing, and evaluating provider compensation strategies and production plans.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.

Skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities. Leadership experience should include management of staff, budgets and multiple finance functions at the manager or director level.
  • Knowledge of various types of Provider compensation plans, compensation theories, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of and skills in performing Provider cost accounting analysis to improve practices.
  • Skills in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data to identify opportunities and trends. Skills in analyzing quantitative and qualitative information to reach sound conclusions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of employees, management, executives, and other organizations. Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial issues to non-financial staff and leadership.
