Virginia (“Gina”) Davidson was named chief risk and compliance officer of Community Health Network in September of 2016.
Gina is responsible for enabling the efficient and effective governance of significant risks, establishing Community's strategic risk management vision, and delivering that vision network-wide. She leads our effort to develop an integrated risk management and compliance model that provides forward-looking strategic insight while creating a best-in-class compliance program and culture.
Before joining Community Health Network, Gina spent the last decade as a partner and practice group chair with the law firm of Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP in Ohio. Her practice encompassed internal investigations, defense, compliance counseling and other representation of clients including hospitals, doctors, physician practices and other healthcare providers. Prior to that, she served as an Assistant United States Attorney in both the Civil and Criminal Divisions of the United States Department of Justice with an emphasis on healthcare law enforcement. Prior to that, Gina worked as an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission, where her work in healthcare included both consumer protection litigation and antitrust investigation.
Gina earned a bachelor’s degree at Marquette University and a law degree from Boston University Law School. She has two grown daughters, Emily and Julie.
