Dee Moonesinghe, MD
Dr. Dee Moonesinghe is a senior vice president, physician executive and interim president for Community Health Network’s North region. She leads clinical care, and oversees quality and safety for the region to ensure strategic alignment and growth. Dr. Moonesinghe previously served as the physician executive for Community’s Howard region prior to her move to the North region.
She is board certified in internal medicine, as well as hospice and palliative care, and was instrumental in launching the hospitalist program in the Howard region. She served as a medical director with Guardian Angels Hospice in Kokomo for several years, as well.
Dr. Moonesinghe completed her internal medicine residency at Ball Memorial Hospital where she served as chief resident in her final year. She is certified with the AAPL (American Academy of Physician Leaders) and has also completed her yearlong enrollment in Community’s Physician Leadership Academy. Dr. Moonesinghe is active with the Network’s Bioethics Council and is currently working towards her MBA.
In her spare time, Dr. Moonesinghe is an avid half marathoner, an aspiring tri-athlete and enjoys volunteering for a good cause.
