Beth Tharp, RN, MBA
Beth Tharp was named the president and CEO at Community Hospital Anderson in July of 2012.
She began her career as a staff nurse at Community Anderson in 1980 and has assumed several roles of increasing responsibility serving as the vice president of Patient Care Services for the past 13 years. She was recently named 2012 Nurse of the Year by the Indianapolis Star for her excellent leadership and advancement of nursing.
Tharp grew up in Anderson, graduated from Anderson High School and received her RN and MBA degrees from Anderson University. Her father, Dr. Ralph Reynolds, was an anesthesiologist and a member of the original medical staff of the hospital. Under her leadership, maternity services has been honored by the World Health Organization and the CDC, a research center that gives Madison County residents access to the nation’s most cutting-edge clinical trials, a wound healing center that has changed countless lives and a program to build and recognize nursing excellence.
Tharp’s entire career has been spent working at Community Anderson and she is very passionate about Community’s mission of caring and compassion. She serves on the board for the United Way, the Madison County Health Partners and Corporation of Economic Development additionally, she is a member of the Anderson Rotary Club. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to Colorado.
