Meet our team

Indy Eleven and Community are teaming up to kick-off its first season in the National American Soccer League. Community’s dedicated sports medicine team will provide comprehensive care to the players to keep them in peak performance—through a training program that includes fitness, conditioning and strengthening, nutrition services, a team physician and certified athletic trainer.

Team physician, Dr. Michael DaRosa, and certified athletic trainer, DeAnne Green, will instruct team members in their fitness and conditioning program as well as provide individual treatment plans for injuries and rehabilitation program. Other services such as sports nutrition and sports performance will also be provided.

Indy Eleven soccer team physician, Dr. Michael DaRosaMichael DaRosa, DO, is a primary sports medicine physician who specializes in non-operative treatments of musculoskeletal conditions. He is a graduate of Carthage College, Kenosha, Wisconsin and received his medical degree from Des Moines College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. DaRosa completed his residency at Exampla St. Joseph Family Medicine, Denver, Colorado, and received his fellowship training at Indiana University Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program.

Dr. DaRosa specializes in acute, chronic and overuse injuries such as sprain, strains, tendonitis and fractures. His areas of special interest include concussion management, osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMT), joint/tendon/ligament injections, regenerative injection therapy, musculoskeletal ultrasound, nutrition guidance and exercise prescriptions.

Dr. DaRosa is a member of American Society for Sports Medicine, American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, Indiana Sports Concussion Network, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Osteopathic Association and the Sigma Sigma Phi (National Osteopathic Honor Society).

Married to a physician, Dr. DaRosa enjoys running, snowboarding, playing soccer and disc golf.

Indy Eleven soccer team athletic trainer, DeAnne Green, ATCDeAnne M. Green, certified athletic trainer (ATC), is Community Health Network’s sports medicine manager. Green has a bachelor of science degree from the University of West Florida and a master of science degree in exercise science and health promotion, with a specialty in performance enhancement and injury prevention from California University of Pennsylvania. She is a certified athletic trainer and licensed in the states of Indiana and Florida. Green has certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine – Performance Enhancement Specialist.

Prior to coming to Community, Green worked at the prestigious Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She worked with sports medicine experts such as James Andrews, MD, of Andrews Institute, Ron Courson from the University of Georgia and Marje Albohm, director of clinical research and fellowships of Ossur Americas.

Working with student athletes in a highly competitive 3A school as an ATC early in Green’s career, she has both practical sports medicine experience and management skills through her work with the renowned sports medicine program at the Andrews Institute in Florida. Green has also provided sports medicine coverage for a professional women’s football team, Special Olympics events, collegiate and intramural sports, Pensacola Marathon, and a variety of recreation and youth sports leagues. With a special interest in sports prevention, Green has vast educational and online curriculum program development experience and provides educational lectures in sports injury prevention for all sports audiences.

In her free time, Green enjoys paddle boarding, yoga and golf.

On March 8, 40 student athletes from Indianapolis-area high schools participated in a sports injury training session. Community Health Network’s sports medicine program is focused on promoting healthier lifestyles benefiting young athletes and their families through sports. Community provides athletic trainer and/or physician sports medicine coverage, health education information, health screenings and access to healthcare for several local schools and sports organizations.
