Easier access to quality health care on the south side

World-class cancer center opening fall 2013

Located on the campus of Community Hospital South, the new Community Regional Cancer Center – South will quickly become a regional destination known for the delivery of world-class cancer care and treatment. Conveniently located at the intersection of US 31 and County Line Road, the $24 million facility will include:

  • 65,000 square feet and three-stories dedicated to patient treatment, group support and physician offices
  • Treatment areas for radiation oncology, medical oncology, pharmacy and a laboratory
  • A welcoming lobby and waiting areas for patients, family and friends
  • A dedicated entrance to the first-floor Cancer Center and another entry for physician offices located on floors two and three
  • A separate entrance for patients arriving by ambulance, as well as access to a mobile PET/CT (Positron Emission Tomography and Computed Tomography) scanning unit
  • A healing garden where patients, family and friends can gather, relax and recover

Community Health Network is committed to serving the health care needs on the south side of Indianapolis and Johnson County, with multiple sites of care. Community Surgery Center South, MedCheck walk-in care center, and a rehab and sports medicine facility are some of the ambulatory facilities—all conveniently located within approximately two miles of the newly expanded Community Hospital South.

The newly expanded Community Hospital South offers inpatient and outpatient care, in addition to express emergency services, surgery, specialized heart care, maternity care and imaging.

Center for Wound Healing
Our team of specialists help heal your wounds through a variety of treatments, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, special dressings/wraps and platelet growth technology.

Community Surgery Center
Surgical procedures for adults and children in numerous specialty areas, including dermatology, general surgery, gynecology, laser surgery, orthopedics and cosmetic surgery.

Diet and nutrition counseling
Whether it's one-time consultation or ongoing counseling for complex situations, Community's dietitians work with you to provide the education and support that is right for you and your nutritional needs.

Digestive health services/Endoscopy/Colonoscopy
Specialized diagnoses and treatment of digestive/esophogeal and gastrointestinal conditions.

Emergency services
Board-certified emergency medicine physicians and nurses providing expert diagnosis and treatment of emergency conditions. Off-site locations include MedCheck urgent care centers.

Grief services
Bereavement support for adults, children and teens.

Home care/Community Home Health
Personalized care from the comfort of home. Services include home care, hospice, therapy services, cardiac care, behavioral care, home infusion and home medical equipment.

Hook Rehabilitation Center
Accredited brain injury and stroke rehabilitation for adolescents and adults. Inpatient and outpatient programs available, including adaptive athletics.

Imaging and radiology services
X-ray, diagnostic angiography, nuclear medicine, CT scan, open-sided and conventional MRI, and ultrasound. Outpatient care available through Community Imaging Centers.

Interventional radiology
Treatment for uterine fibroids, varicose veins and osteoporosis.

Maternity/OB services
One beautiful room for the duration of your stay—labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP), and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for infants needing more specialized care.

Neuroscience services
Medical and surgical management of adult and pediatric neurological and cerebrovascular conditions, disorders and diseases, including stroke, seizure, epilepsy and headache.

Older adult services/Touchpoint
Healthy life transitions for patients 55 and older. Membership is free and includes clinical resources, social opportunities, pharmacy discounts and educational programming.

Orthopedic services/Center for Joint Health
Complete care for bones, joints and muscles. Cutting-edge treatments for hip and knee replacement, spine surgery, pain treatment and injury prevention.

Pediatrics/Children's health
Inpatient, ambulatory, extended recovery and observation and care for children and teens through age 17.

Pharmacy/Wellspring
Wellspring Pharmacy is a pharmacy that specializes in whole health, offering prescription refill and delivery services for patients and employees, and special programs such as 1-Price Generic Prescription Program and natural products for whole health at www.wellspringpharmacy.com.

Radiology and imaging services
