Visiting hours

Adults and children may visit. All visitors must be free of exposure to chicken pox or other communicable diseases and free of fever. Hospitals are full of patients fighting germs. Small children and individuals who have poor immune systems should beware. Visiting children must have adult supervision at all times.

• ICU/PCU
  Visitation is limited to two persons at a time. Visitors are welcome at any time except between 6 to 8 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Special exceptions may be discussed with the patient's nurse. A visiting adult must supervise visiting children at all times.
• Maternity
  Family members - open visitation; Other guests - visitation available until 8 p.m.
• General surgery, all other areas
  Open visitation
  While we welcome family involvement, for patient privacy, visitors may be asked to temporarily leave the room if necessary.

Parking

Parking for emergency and cardiac/cath lab patients is available in front of the emergency room. Additional parking is available behind the hospital building adjacent to Indiana Surgery Center. Free valet and shuttle service is available and there is no charge for parking. Parking lots are maintained and monitored by Community Health Network public safety personnel.

ATM

An ATM is located in the main lobby next to the elevators.

Cafeteria and refreshments

Located on the first floor of the hospital

Breakfast 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Dinner 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

In addition to the cafeteria, there is an assortment of vending machines and nearby restaurants. If you would like to eat outside, ask a staff member for directions to find an outside location.

FigLeaf Boutique

FigLeaf is a women’s health and specialty boutique providing services and products to women undergoing breast cancer treatment and new and expectant mothers. Each boutique has certified fitters who can assist with mastectomy bras and prosthesis fittings and also carry a vast array of cancer treatment products such as wigs, hats and scarves, skin care and pink ribbon merchandise. New and expectant moms can make FigLeaf their one-stop shop for all their nursing and infants needs as well as being professionally fit for nursing bras.

Jasmine Gift Shop

Located on the first floor of the hospital, Jasmine offers flowers and other gifts for patients, as well as magazines, snacks and personal care products.

Hours: Monday through Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday/Sunday 1 to 5 p.m.

Wellspring Pharmacy offers competitive pricing and the convenience of getting your prescription filled immediately following a physician appointment or a hospital stay. Refills are also convenient, with online refill now available and UPS shipping available.

Cell phone policy

Cell phones are allowed except in patient treatment areas as their signal could interfere with medical equipment in use.

Smoking policy

The hospital and the entire Community Hospital South campus are tobacco-free environments.

Smoking has been shown not only to compromise the health of those who smoke, but others who come into contact with the smoke. Therefore, in keeping with our mission to promote the health, wellness and comfort of our patients and employees, smoking is not permitted.

Overnight stays

Spouse/support partners are welcome to stay, and our rooms are designed to accommodate an overnight stay for one.

While we can accommodate more overnight guests in some instances, it requires us to make some special arrangements. Please speak with the nursing staff to make arrangements.
