Community Westview Medical Campus offers partnership opportunities for our current and new physicians. Each partnership is based on the individual needs of the physician and their family, and may include the following benefits:
Independent practice physician income guarantee
Up to 24 months following practice start date the hospital will provide an income guarantee to the physician. The amount and term of this assistance will be dependent upon the type of practice and the individual need of the physician.
In addition, independent practice physicians may have access to the following start up assistance programs:
- Insurance plan credentialing
- Patient billing services
- Information services consulting and support
- Physician call groups sharing
- Phone services
- Physician referral line
- Marketing your practice: mailings; health fairs; speakers bureau
- Enrollment in Medicare and Medicaid
- Education on the business of launching a new practice, with topics such as insurance reimbursement,
- Medicare and Medicaid billing, payer mix, customer service and marketing
Hospital employed physician
The hospital will offer competitive compensation and benefits. In addition, employed physicians are eligible to participate in the following benefit programs:
- Medical insurance — choice of two plans
- Dental insurance; vision insurance
- Paid time off
- Flexible spending accounts
- Free group term life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance
- Optional dependent life insurance
- Free short term disability
- Voluntary life insurance
- Pension; 401(k) plan
- Waiver of initiation fee and reduced membership to Community Westview Healthplex Sports Club
- Direct deposit; credit union membership
- Continuing medical education programs with options for reimbursement of costs incurred
In addition to the physician income guarantee or employment, Community Westview Hospital may provide a signing bonus. A portion to be paid at the time an agreement is signed, and the remainder at the start date of the practice.
Student loan payment
Hospital may provide a loan to be used for partial repayment of the physician’s student loans. This loan will be paid by hospital in equal annual installments over the period of the agreement and forgiveness will be prorated over the period of the agreement.
The hospital will assistance the physician in identifying a practice location which is geographically favorable to the physician and the hospital. Consideration will be give to payer mix and existing competition.
The hospital will provide reimbursement for relocation expenses incurred by the physician to move to the Indianapolis area. In addition the hospital will assist with locating a realtor to find a home for the physician and his or her family.
Community Westview Medical Campus is located on the west side of Indianapolis, only 15 minutes from downtown, the airport and five minutes from all major highways. Community Westview’s location offers easy access to any major cultural or sporting venue in the city. In Indianapolis, it’s so easy to do so much. Indy provides big-city amenities in a convenient, easy-to-navigate package wrapped in a friendly, inviting atmosphere. The nation’s 13th largest city has gone through a dramatic revitalization and a stunning renaissance that makes it a different place than it was just a decade ago. It is the perfect balance of cosmopolitan style and small-town charm. Indianapolis is home to major cultural, educational, and business enterprises. Yet the rural influence remains strong. Indianapolis has many of the elements of small-town Midwestern life. Indy is home to the Indianapolis 500, an NBA basketball team and the Indianapolis Colts, an NFL Superbowl championship team.
