Kirk Hanson, D.O.Kirk Hanson, D.O.


Kirk Hanson is a caring, dedicated, humanistic physician who puts the health, interests and well-being of his patients first. He is a third-year osteopathic family medicine resident who is focused on whole person healthcare. He graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011. Kirk is community oriented and technologically adept. He is a member of the AOA Council of Interns and Residents and represents all postdoctoral trainees on the Information Technology Advisory Board. Kirk enjoys building relationships with patients, life coaching and problem-solving. Prior to his healthcare education, Kirk spent 16 years working in technology and business. He has a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor of science degree in computer science. Kirk and his spouse, Angie, live in Brownsburg along with their five dogs Kylee, Sam, Joseph, Nikki and Kitley. In his spare time, Kirk's interests include organic foods, exercise and fitness, skiing, and volunteer activities.

Dawn Meacham, D.O.Dawn Meacham, D.O.


I grew up on a small farm outside of the Southeastern Indiana town of Madison. I received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Butler University in 2005, and went on to study for a master's degree in public health at the University of Kentucky until beginning medical school in 2007. I graduated from medical school at University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011 and am now a second-year family practice resident at Community Westview Hospital. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Nick, and our young son, Noah. We love sports, outdoors, music, museums and traveling.

Meredith Potrzebowski, D.O.Meredith Potrzebowski, D.O.


Hello! My name is Meredith Potrzebowski and I am a third year family practice resident here at Community Westview Hospital. I grew up in Marion, Indiana and graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with a degree in health sciences. I completed medical school at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. During residency, I have completed additional training in cranial manipulation and am currently learning acupuncture. My husband, Paul, and I are excited to be back in Indianapolis living with our dogs Harvey and Gwyn. In my spare time, I enjoy running and being with family and friends.

Sarah Lynley Rader, D.O.Sarah Lynley Rader, D.O.


Dr. Sarah Lynley Rader is a native of Central Indiana. She obtained a B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University, and earned her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. After completing her internship at the University of Colorado Medical Center in Denver, Dr. Rader returned to Indiana to continue her training through the Community Westview Family Medicine Residency. In addition to the full breadth of traditional family medicine, Dr. Rader has a special interest—and is pursuing additional training and certification—in acupuncture and office-based dermatology, including cancer screening and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Rader's goal is to help her patients attain peak health and wellness by using all the tools now available. These include motivating and educating patients on healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention and stress management. Dr. Rader uses the same approach to facilitate optimal health and symptom control in patients with chronic disease. She looks forward to meeting you!

Peter Choi, D.O.Peter Choi, D.O.


Dr. Choi went to U.C. Berkeley for an undergraduate degree in neurobiology and Georgetown University for a master's degree in physiology and biophysics. Dr. Choi finished the family medicine internship at University of Nevada Family Medicine Residency Program before joining the Community Westview Family Medicine program. Dr. Choi chose to pursue family medicine because the field allows him to pursue his two passions in life: medicine and education. Dr. Choi served as adjunct faculty at Mt. San Antonio College prior to entering medical school and prioritizes patient education with emphasis on the prevention of disease and promotion of health. In his free time, Dr. Choi loves to golf, cook, explore outdoors with his wife and two dogs, watch movies, and everything to do with new electronic gadgets.

Valerie Melton, D.O.Valerie Melton, D.O.


My name is Valerie Melton and I am a second-year family medicine resident at Community Westview. I grew up in central Kentucky and went to Georgetown College where I graduated with a bachelor’s of science in biology. After obtaining my undergraduate degree, I attended the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. There I earned a doctorate of osteopathic medicine and completed an undergraduate fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine. I am passionate about the value of osteopathic principles as they relate to the holistic approach to patient care and preventive medicine. My goal is not only to treat my patients with compassion and respect, but to also empower them to make positive changes for their future health. When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking and entertaining for my husband, Mike, family and friends. My husband and I also enjoy exploring many of the activities Indianapolis has to offer, such as Indians games, the zoo, museums, local eateries and more. We love the city and feel so blessed to call Indianapolis home.

Martha Neilsen, D.O.Martha Neilsen, D.O.


My name is Martha Nielsen and I am originally from Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania. I got my bachelor’s degree in biology from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA before attending Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. While I loved living in both Pennsylvania and Tennessee, I wanted to live somewhere different so when my husband and I found Community Westview Hospital we knew it was for us! We live in Brownsburg with our small menagerie of pets including four dogs, two sugar gliders and a hedgehog. In our free time we enjoy watching all kinds of movies, doing projects around our house and playing with our dogs.

Joseph Silvers, D.O.Joseph "JT" Silvers, D.O.


JT is a second-year family practice resident at Community Westview Hospital. He is from the small town of Monticello, Kentucky and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s of science degree in biology from Campbellsville University in central Kentucky. He then went to medical school at the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also completed a teaching fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine. He enjoys fishing, being outdoors, playing music and spending time with his wife, Dana.

Christine Jung, D.O.Christine Jung, D.O.


Dr. Jung is originally from southern California. She completed her undergraduate education at University of California, Irvine with a bachelor's in information and computer science. Dr. Jung worked as a computer programmer for about two years before her husband, Dr. Peter Choi, convinced her to pursue medicine. She attended Touro University of Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine before joining the Community Westview Family Medicine program. Dr. Jung enjoys watching movies with her husband, playing with her two dogs and exploring all that Indiana has to offer.

Jeffrey Klak, D.O.Jeffrey Klak, D.O.


My goal is to provide comprehensive and compassionate medical care. I believe in patient education, preventive care, and in-depth education and treatment. I strive to actively involve my patients in their medical care and decision-making process to promote improved quality of life, health and wellness. It is my passion to provide comprehensive, goal-oriented primary care.

I obtained my undergraduate degree on full scholarship as an Evans Scholar at Indiana University in Bloomington with a major in biology. I went on to graduate from DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. My interests include golf, roller-blading, fishing, grilling and spending time with my three children and my lovely wife.

Steven Patton, D.O.Steven Patton, D.O.


Dr. Patton was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Covert, Michigan. He graduated from Kentucky State University with a bachelor’s of science in biology. He then attended the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and earned a doctorate of osteopathic medicine. He enjoys volunteering, spending time with his daughter, practicing martial arts and listening to music.

Brandon Yohn, D.O.Brandon Yohn, D.O.


I am originally from Avon, Indiana on the west side of Indianapolis. I attended undergrad at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion were I studied biology. I graduated medical school from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia. My wife and I moved back to the Indianapolis area and I am a currently a resident physician at Community Westview Hospital. I’m excited to be serving as an osteopathic family medicine physician in the community I grew up in. In my free time, I love spending time with my wife on our many adventures, being outside hiking, hunting and fishing with our dog, and spending time with friends and family.
