PGY1 community pharmacy residency

ASHP accredited community pharmacy residency programWelcome! Community Health Network and Wellspring Pharmacy offer a post-graduate year-1 (PGY1) community pharmacy residency. The program is fully accredited through the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).

More about PGY1 Community Pharmacy residency

The program has a strong ambulatory care focus that allows the resident to provide disease state management through the Bridges to Health program. Because the program is part of a large health network, opportunities are also available based on the resident’s interests, including anticoagulation/heart failure, family medicine and others. Enjoy the benefits of having the camaraderie of Community Health Network's inpatient pharmacy PGY1’s.

Student teaching and precepting are also components of the residency. The resident is eligible to participate in the Indiana Pharmacy Resident Teaching Certificate Program (IPTeC) offered through Butler University and Purdue University

The resident also has the benefit of working in Wellspring Pharmacy as the staffing component of the residency. This alone provides a wide variety of experiences in patient care and pharmacy management.

This unique program also provides a variety of rotations that focus on building the resident’s skills and confidence.

Thank you for your interest in our program. We invite you to review how to apply and do not hesitate to contact us with questions.
