The following nursing scholarships are offered for a variety of nursing positions, including registered nurses, LPNs and student externs. How to apply
To apply for a scholarship you must download and print the appropriate application. The free tool Adobe Reader is required to view and print the forms.
The general scholarship is available to all employee/spouses or children of network employees within two years of graduation in a critical need position as identified by Community Hospitals. The number and amount varies each year. Monies are awarded to the college/university to cover tuition and books. Applicants may apply and receive a scholarship for two consecutive years.
Community Family Scholarship
The application process begins in March. The application deadline is late April/early May and monies are awarded in July. All students must be at least half-time status. All scholarships through Community Health Network come with a commitment to work within the network after graduation. Failure to meet the commitment requires payback of the scholarship.
This scholarship is open to employees, spouses or children of network employees. You must be enrolled in an accredited school of nursing for a bachelor's degree. It will be competitively based with a maximum award of $10,000.00. It is renewable for up to four years. There will be a four-year work commitment required post-graduation. Terms of awarding the money will be customized to the recipients' needs (based on interview with recipient).
Registered Nurses Leadership Scholarship
This is open to current registered nurse employees in the clinical manager role pursuing a BSN, or a director/clinical director pursuing a MSN in nursing or a related field. $2500.00 is awarded to full-time students and $1250.00 to part-time students. The scholarship is awarded directly to the student.
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Leadership Scholarship
Must be a senior-level student enrolled in an accredited school of nursing in an associate's or bachelor's degree program. Selection is based on demonstration of leadership ability. The number awarded varies each year. Amount is $2500.00 awarded directly to the student.
