Nursing education

Nurses working togetherCommunity Health Network offers numerous educational opportunities for current nurses—including internships, institutes and certification review courses—and nursing student opportunities such as observation/shadowing, the student extern program and clinical experiences through affiliating schools of nursing. Observation experience

An observation experience, or "shadowing," allows you to observe a health care worker in his or her work setting. This experience is usually fewer than four hours in length and you will not be allowed to participate in any "hands on" experience. Learn more >>

Medical Assistant Fellowship Program

Medical Assistant Fellowship ProgramThe Medical Assistant Fellowship Program is an advanced externship program for selected applicants. It will provide 300 hours of extensive training during a period of eight to 10 weeks. This specialized program is designed to strengthen clinical and educational preparation as well as open the door to employment opportunities. Upon successful completion of the fellowship program, all students will be considered for open positions at Community Health Network, taking into consideration preferences for location, specialty and hours.
