Everyone can give
Helping others is something everyone should do. It's something everyone can do. That's Bryan Mills' philosophy.
"My parents instilled an understanding that the Lord provides us with gifts but that we are merely stewards of these gifts," Mills said. "It is both an expectation and obligation for me to share these gifts with others. Furthermore, the joy received from giving was evident within our household, and I definitely 'caught that bug.' Accordingly, my wife (Cathie) and I continue to be very active with our time and resources within our community and especially toward children, families, our church, and various health-care organizations."
And as president and chief executive officer-elect of Community Health Network, a nonprofit, Mills has given as much as he possibly can - literally.
Visionary Enterprises Inc. (VEI) is a for-profit corporation within Indianapolis-based Community Health Network. This year, VEI was the Howard Regional Health System Foundation's top donor. Annually, VEI endeavors to provide charitable contributions to the maximum deductible amount as determined by the IRS and preferences the needs of its hospital partners in the designation of these funds.
According to Mills, "VEI is a developer and management company of health care joint ventures with physicians and hospitals. All of our projects include participation with the local not-for-profit hospital or health system. VEI views partnerships and relationships with not-for-profit health systems as a component of its mission and business strategy. VEI is proud to be a partner with the Howard Regional Health System, and VEI is proud to be able to assist HRHS and its foundation to achieve their missions to serve the residents of Howard County."
"We look forward to continuing our support and relationship," Mills said of VEI's generosity to HRHS and the Foundation. "Helping others is good business."
