Cancer care services
Oncology services focus on:
- Prevention and detection
- Medical oncology
- Radiation oncology
- Inpatient and outpatient treatments
- Onsite laboratory and imaging services
- Community education and outreach
- Participation in clinical trials
- Patient education
- Genetic consultative services
All patients have a documented cancer diagnosis or are seen in order to diagnose a suspicion of cancer. Our American College of Surgeons-approved program provides radiation therapy and chemotherapy services to outpatients and inpatients. We also treat blood disorders and provide consultative services to women who are at risk for developing breast cancer.
Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), brings improved outcomes to our patients. This state-of-the-art radiation therapy delivery system reduces the amount of radiation to healthy tissue and can increase the rate of tumor control while significantly reducing adverse side effects.
Patients are treated using a multidisciplinary approach including physicians, nurses, a nurse practitioner, radiation therapists, chaplains, social workers and dietitians.
