Chief Nursing Executive and Vice President of Patient Care Services, Community Heart and Vascular Hospital
Pamela Hunt, MSN, R.N., is the chief nursing executive and vice president of patient care services at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. Pam is responsible for all nursing and non-nursing operations at the hospital.
Hunt earned her master of science degree in nursing from Indiana University, her bachelor of science in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan and a diploma in nursing from Parkview-Methodist School of Nursing. She comes to Community Heart and Vascular Hospital from Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, where she had served as chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services since August 2008. In that role, she supervised operations for the patient care division of an acute care hospital and was responsible for the delivery of quality, patient-centered care throughout the facility. Hunt’s career experience also includes serving as administrative director of perioperative services and the division of critical care and magnet program director at Marion General Hospital, where she began her career as a registered nurse.
Hunt has been published on a variety of nurse management topics and is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the VHA Chief Nursing Officer Group and the Indiana Organization of Nurse Executives. She is a frequent presenter at area and national conferences and volunteers her time serving local community organizations, including the Chief Nursing Officer Advisory Board of Indiana University Kokomo.
