Meet the breast oncologists

Timothy A. Goedde, M.D., FACS

MD Anderson certified physician

Timothy A. Goedde, M.D., FACS, breast surgeon at Community Health Network Dr. Goedde is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, completing his general surgery residency at University Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. His Fellowship in Surgical Oncology was completed at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. He has been active in the breast cancer program at Community Health Network for 22 consecutive years. Dr. Goedde’s background in engineering supported his work as a surgical innovator and directly contributed to the development of the breast biopsy system currently utilized throughout the country.

Dr. Goedde is board certified in general surgery and also holds the MD Anderson Cancer Network® certification. Dr Goedde specializes in providing evaluation, diagnosis and personalized treatment plans for all breast health issues from benign disease to breast cancer.

Dr. Goedde has five children and enjoys being involved with their activities. He loves all sports, especially golf.

Robert J. Goulet, Jr., M.D., FACS

Robert J. Goulet, Jr., M.D., FACS, breast surgeon at Community Health Network Bob Goulet, M.D., joined Community Breast Care in early 2011. Dr. Goulet is a board certified general surgeon, specializing in breast disease and breast surgical oncology. He has a long and distinguished career in medicine and has lectured and published extensively on breast cancer.

Originally from New York, Dr. Goulet has lived in Indiana since 1986 and considers himself a Hoosier. He received his medical degree from The State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, and completed his residency and fellowship at SUNY Downstate as well.

Dr. Goulet is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Hoosier Oncology Group, the American College of Surgeons, and the National Consortium of Breast Centers.

He is actively involved in the community working with Young Survival Coalition, the Cancer Community, the Little Red Door Cancer Agency, the American Cancer Society, and the Sisters Network. Dr. Goulet is ranked in the top 1% in his field according to US News and World Report and was named to the 2011 Indianapolis Monthly's "Top Doctors" list for surgery. He was recognized by the Indiana Cancer Consortium with the "Outstanding Contribution to Cancer Control Award" for 2012.

Dr. Goulet resides in Indianapolis with his wife Barbara and their two dogs. They have four children and four grandchildren.

Christina J. Kim, M.D.

Christina J. Kim, M.D., breast surgeon at Community Health NetworkChristina J. Kim, M.D., is a board certified surgical oncologist. She studied medicine at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Medical College of Georgia, followed by a fellowship at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Kim specializes in breast surgery (surgical oncology), stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasound guided breast biopsy, high-risk breast cancer and breast clinical research.

Dr. Kim is a member of the Indiana State Medical Association, the American Cancer Society, the Society of Surgical Oncology and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She currently serves on the Board of Susan G. Komen for the Cure/Central Indiana. In 2011, Dr. Kim was named an Indianapolis Monthly "Top Doctor" for surgery.

In her free time, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and traveling.

S. Chace Lottich, M.D., FACS

S. Chace Lottich, M.D., FACS, breast surgeon at Community Health NetworkS. Chace Lottich, M.D., is a general surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant breast diseases. She was the first female surgeon to graduate from Duke University where she completed undergraduate studies, medical school, surgical residency and fellowship. During her surgical training, she became involved in the Y-ME patient advocacy group and subsequently helped found the Y-ME chapter in Indianapolis.

Dr. Lottich is a member of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Lottich holds a faculty appointment at Indiana University and is involved in resident training. Dr. Lottich has served on the Board of The Wellness Center, American Cancer Society, and Little Red Door/United Way agencies, and has participated in two ongoing Eli Lilly pharmaceutical research trials. In 2011, Dr. Lottich was named an Indianapolis Monthly "Top Doctor" for surgery.

Dr. Lottich is the proud mother of two sons.

Nate Thepjatri, M.D., FACS

Nate Thepjatri, M.D., FACS, breast surgeon at Community Health NetworkNate Thepjatri, M.D., is a surgical oncologist specializing in breast surgical oncology, stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasound guided breast biopsy and genetic testing. Dr. Thepjatri was trained at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as well as a fellowship at the Baylor University Medical Center.

He is a member of the Indiana State Medical Association, the Society of Surgical Oncology and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

Originally from Chicago, Dr. Thepjatri enjoys traveling and is a sports enthusiast.

Erin A. Zusan, M.D., FACS

Erin Zusan, M.D., FACSErin Zusan, M.D., is a board certified general surgeon, specializing in breast surgical oncology. She has been a resident of Indiana for more than 20 years. She attended Avon schools and went on to earn a B.S. in Biology from Indiana University in 1999. There, she graduated with distinction and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She earned a master's degree in science from Purdue University at Indianapolis in 2000 before entering the Indiana University School of Medicine, from which she received her medical degree in 2004. Dr. Zusan completed her general surgery residency at TriHealth/Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2009 and her breast surgical oncology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan in 2010. Dr. Zusan devotes her practice to the diagnosis and management of benign and malignant breast problems.

She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Association of Women Surgeons.

In her free time, Dr. Zusan enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, as well as traveling.
