New! Schedule a low-dose lung CT screening online

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. About 165,000 people are diagnosed with lung cancer each year in the U.S alone. Today, substantially more women die from lung cancer than from breast cancer. It is firmly established that smoking cigarettes causes the vast majority of lung cancers. Another important risk factor is long time exposure to second hand smoke and exposure to Asbestos fibers. Like most cancers, lung cancer tends to occur later in life. Lung cancer is rarely observed in people under the age of 45-50 years. People who undergo a CT lung screening will receive an ultra low-dose CT scan that will demonstrate the lung tissue in high diagnostic quality detail with a reduced amount of ionizing radiation. At Community Health Network, we understand that you have many choices in central Indiana for your radiology and medical imaging services. Why choose Community over other options? The following are a few of the many benefits of choosing a Community Health Network location for your imaging services needs.

  • Accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR)
Accreditation by the ACR, which was recently designated by the US government as an accrediting body for Medicare and Medicaid providers, ensures that the staff and physicians, along with the imaging equipment being used, are of the highest standards.
  • Accreditation by The Joint Commission (TJC)

The Joint Commission’s on-site surveys check for compliance with national patient safety goals. When you choose Community you can rest assured that you are receiving your health care in a safe and quality-driven environment
  • The latest imaging technology
Community Health Network continuously invests in the latest imaging technology to provide you and your physician with the highest level of diagnostic information possible. With technology such as fully digital x-ray and mammography systems, 64-slice CT scanners, high-field open MRI scanners, a 3T MRI, and 3D imaging technology, you can feel comfortable knowing you are receiving care with the latest in imaging technology.
