Suzanne Koehler joins Community Health Network as East Region vice president and COO

Indianapolis, IN -- Suzanne Koehler has joined Community Health Network as the vice president and chief operations officer of the network’s East Region.

Koehler has more than 29 years of healthcare experience and most recently served as vice president of operations with Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, S.D. She reports to East Region President Scott Teffeteller.

“Suzanne is an accomplished healthcare executive who has a deep knowledge of product line operations, quality and patient safety along with a proven track record in improving overall operations in an acute-care setting,” said Teffeteller.

In her new role, Koehler is responsible for providing strategic growth planning, execution and operational leadership to designated product lines and patient services in the East Region, as well as oversight of Community’s $175 million investment on its East campus.

Prior to her role with Rapid City Regional Hospital, Koehler served as vice president of clinical services with Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Mo., and vice president and chief support officer with Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

A graduate of Ohio University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and science, Koehler went on to complete her master’s in business administration from the University of Notre Dame. She is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives, FACHE.

Koehler has served on the boards of Girls, Inc.; Working Against Violence, Inc.; and as an officer on city and regional planning commissions.
