Stones Crossing Health Pavilion opens today, expanding healthcare access and options

For release on July 29, 2013

Bargersville, IN—Community Health Network and Johnson Memorial Health opened the doors to a new health pavilion today on State Road 135, just south of Stones Crossing. The 70,000-square-foot facility brings together primary and specialty care providers, as well as a multitude of outpatient services, improving healthcare access for residents of Johnson County and surrounding communities, while also boosting economic development in the area.

“Our Stones Crossing pavilion brings an expansive menu of convenient healthcare services to families in the Bargersville and Center Grove communities,” said Jon Fohrer, CEO of ambulatory services at Community. “Our collaboration with Johnson Memorial on this project has allowed us to gather many wonderful healthcare resources under one roof, giving patients options and access to care for their entire family.”

Stones Crossing Health Pavilion offers primary and specialty care providers from Community Physician Network and Johnson Memorial Physician Network, including family medicine care, pediatric care, orthopedic specialty care, women’s health and general surgical care. Community Physician Network providers offer MyChart online access to patient medical records. This secure tool allows patients to request appointments and prescription renewals, view lab results and send messages to their physician from their computer or mobile device.

Also opening today, a lab testing service operated by Johnson Memorial, is available to patients on a walk-in basis.

Other outpatient services are slated to open on September 3. The state-of-the-art imaging center will include MRI, CT, mammography, breast MRI, x-ray and bone-density testing. Physical Therapy and Rehab services will include physical, occupational and speech therapy for adults and children. A pediatric sensory gym will aid infant and child development through play-based therapy for sensory, fine and gross motor skills as well as communication. The facility will also offer specialized sports injury treatment and performance coached programs for athletes. A HydroWorx® therapy pool - the only one in the region, indoor batting/golf cage, indoor basketball court and tennis/volleyball court will be available for individuals recovering from sports injuries, medical conditions or surgeries, as well as those working to enhance their athletic performance. Patients will also have access to behavioral health, a joint initiative between Community Health Network and Adult and Child Services, beginning September 9. Finally, a community room that will support health education, health screenings and serve as a meeting and event space for local organizations will be available in the near future as well.

“Johnson Memorial Health is pleased to partner with Community Health Network in improving the access to care to the citizens of Johnson County,” said Johnson Memorial Health President and CEO Larry Heydon. “We look forward to the community benefiting from the convenient and broad scope of services provided in this spectacular building.”
