Indianapolis, IN---John Cummings, M.D., has been named medical director of neurosurgery for Community Health Network. He is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Community Neurosurgery.
Dr. Cummings was selected by his peers to lead our neurosurgical services program because of his compassionate care for his patients, innovative clinical leadership, and his continued commitment and loyalty to Community Health Network, said Jos Longoria, vice president of neuroscience at Community Health Network.
Dr. Cummings is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and has provided complete neurosurgical care to patients at Community Health Network for more than 20 years. He is a leading innovator for minimally-invasive treatment for spine and brain disorders. Dr. Cummings also treats normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) and nerve entrapment syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome. He is married and has three sons.
As medical director, Dr. Cummings will lead the neurosurgical team in the ongoing growth and development of comprehensive neurosurgery services at Community Hospitals East, North and South.
