Indianapolis, IN---Community Health Network has been recognized as a finalist for the 2010 Healthiest Employers, an awards program presented by the Indianapolis Business Journal and Mavum Consulting. Three employers from the Indianapolis area were honored as finalists of the awards program, held downtown on August 24, at The Westin. Three winners were selected in each category, grouped by size and number of full-time employees. Community was awarded finalist in the 5,000 + employees category (the only health care employer to be recognized in this category), joining Eli Lilly and Company (category winner) and PurdueUniversity. This is the second consecutive year that Community has been honored as a finalist, winning Healthiest Employer in the same category last year.
Healthiest Employers is an innovative awards program that recognizes organizations that proactively shape the health of their employees. These companies have made a commitment to impact the health of their workplace—and their bottom line. The winning employers ranged in size from 2-99 employees, up to 5,000 + employees. During the breakout sessions, Community Health Network’s Tracy Minor, MS, manager of the network’s Employee Assistance Program, presented at a session addressing healthy employees and company costs.
“We are pleased to once again be a finalist for the Healthiest Employers award,” said Chris Dobbins, executive director of health promotion services at Community Health Network. “As I network with other employers and wellness professionals, it is clear to me that Community Health Network is leading the way in worksite wellness.
