Community Heart and Vascular welcomes Waqas Ghumman, M.D.

Indianapolis, IN---Cardiologist Waqas Ghumman, M.D., has joined Community Heart and Vascular, part of Community Health Network.  Dr. Ghumman specializes in congestive heart failure and cardiac imaging.

Dr. Ghumman received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He served his residency in internal medicine at LoyolaMedicalCenter in Illinois, followed by a cardiology fellowship with the Krannert Institute of Cardiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He later served as associate professor of clinical medicine for the Indiana University School of Medicine, earning the Charles Fisch Teacher of the Year for Cardiology and twice earning the Board of Trustees Teaching Award. His articles and research have been published in The Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography and The Journal of Nuclear Cardiology.

Board-certified in internal medicine and cardiology, Dr. Ghumman is a member of the AmericanCollege of Cardiology, American Medical Association, International Society of Heart Lung Transplant and the Heart Failure Society of America.

Dr. Ghumman will serve patients on the campus of Community Hospital Anderson.
