Tom Fischer
CFO and Chief Operations Executive
Thomas P. Fischer is the CFO and chief operations executive for Community Health Network.
Fischer oversees development of short-term and long-term capital and operating plans, serves as a key advisor to the network’s executive team and is in charge of the creation of various financial reports. He creates financial policies for the network and leads a network-wide staff of more than 200 people.
Prior to joining Community, he operated Fischer Advisory Services, which served health-care organizations from Pennsylvania and South Carolina to Oklahoma with a wide range of services related to strategic planning, mergers/acquisitions and investment banking. He provided extensive services to Community Health Network for two decades.
Before launching his own advisory firm in 1994, he was a health-care investment banker for three firms in Chicago and New York between 1984 and 1994. He started as a health care consultant for Ernst & Young following his 1975 graduation from Indiana University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. Fischer is a certified public accountant and registered securities representative.
Fischer, an Indianapolis resident, serves on the finance committee of the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis and is on the board of the Hutson School, which serves students with language learning differences.
