Jill Parris
Chief Human Resources Officer
Jill Parris is chief human resources officer for Community Health Network, the second largest health care network in Indiana. She has held this position since 1990. In her role, Parris oversees and provides strategic direction for recruitment, compensation, benefits, consultation and organization and people development initiatives for the network’s employers and employees. She is also the chief operating officer of Community Business Innovations (CBI). CBI is the network’s shared administrative services company, providing finance, human resources, information technology, legal, marketing and purchasing services to network businesses.
Parris came to Community from the University of Cincinnati and University Hospitals where she served as the chief human resources officer. Parris held leadership positions in a number of human resource functions during her tenure at University. She has provided consulting services to numerous not-for-profit organizations. Parris is also an adjunct associate professor at Indiana University and has twenty years of public speaking experience.
Parris is a member of the Human Resource Committee of the Humane Society of Indianapolis Board of Directors; a member of the Charter Advisors of the HR Executive Roundtable of the Healthcare Advisory Board; and a member of the Community College of Indiana Advisory Council for Health Careers. Her professional affiliations include the Society for Human Resource Management and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration. Parris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Cincinnati, Ohio.
