Robert Lindeman, M.D.
Interim President, Community Hospital North
Robert Lindeman, M.D., has served as interim president of Community Hospital North since early 2013, and as vice president, medical affairs since 2010. Prior to that, he established the pediatric hospitalist service at Community Hospital North when he arrived from North Carolina in 2007. He served as medical director of the group until 2012.
A native of Cincinnati, he received his medical degree from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his residency in pediatrics at the Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina. He returned to Charlotte after a short period working as a general pediatrician in California. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Prior to joining Community North, Dr. Lindeman was director of inpatient quality improvement initiatives at Carolinas Medical Center/Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has special training in quality improvement from National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality (NICHQ). He has a bachelor of science business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati and worked as an IT professional for a decade prior to becoming a physician.
He has lectured on evidence-based medicine, electronic medical records, acute lymphoblastic leukemia and childhood obesity, as well as pediatric respiratory illness. Dr. Lindeman still enjoys working as a pediatric hospitalist, and spends significant time in practice.
Dr. Lindeman, along with his wife and three children, live in Lawrence Township, where they enjoy bicycling, golf, swimming and transporting their children from event to event. He is particularly fond of watching his children play sports such as soccer, baseball and basketball.
