Robin Ledyard, M.D.
President, Community Hospital East
Robin Ledyard, M.D., is president of Community Hospital East, a comprehensive acute care facility with 250-staffed beds located at 1500 North Ritter Avenue. One of the largest employers on the Indianapolis east side, Community Hospital East employs nearly 2,800 physicians, nurses and staff members.
Dr. Ledyard has been with Community Health Network since 1995, when she started as a faculty member for the network’s family practice residency program, eventually becoming program director from 1999-2002. She has successfully served in a variety of roles at Community East, including physician advisor for case management, director of the care management council, and member of the Community East facility team. In addition, she provides medical direction for the network’s community benefit program.
She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine and holds a master’s degree in public health. Dr. Ledyard’s affiliations include: the American Academy of Family Physicians; Indiana Academy of Family Physicians; American Medical Association; Indiana State Medical Association; American Family Practice Residency Directors; American College of Physician Executives; American Medical Women’s Association; and American Public Health Association. She is past chair of the Indiana Chapter of Family Practice Residency Directors and serves on the boards of the Metropolitan Indianapolis-Central Indiana Area Health Education Center and the Gennesaret Free Clinic.
In her spare time, Dr. Ledyard enjoys running, biking and being with her family. She is married to Tom Ledyard, M.D., a family physician at Community’s Family Medicine Residency Program. The couple, who lives in downtown Indianapolis, has two daughters.
