Health Tip: Eat Well While Traveling
(HealthDay News) -- It's important to eat healthful, nutritious foods -- even when you're on the road.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics offers this advice for health-conscious travelers:
- Opt for a veggie burger or grilled chicken sandwich topped with lettuce and tomato, or a grilled chicken salad topped with a low-fat dressing.
- At a Mexican restaurant, choose soft tacos or a burrito stuffed with grilled chicken, fish or vegetables.
- Another option is a cup of chili with a turkey sandwich or side salad.
- Choose a veggie or turkey sandwich along with low-fat veggie soup.
