Karen O. Ehrman, M.D., FSIR

Karen Ehrman, M.D., FSIR Dr. Ehrman received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in diagnostic radiology in 1989 and her fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology in 1990 at Indiana University Medical Center. Dr. Ehrman is certified by the American Board of Radiology and received her Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. She is a Fellow in the Society of Interventional Radiology. Prior to joining Irvington Radiologists, she practiced interventional radiology at Methodist Hospital for 12 years. She currently sees patients at Community Hospital East, Community Hospital North and Community Heart and Vascular Hospital.

Her areas of expertise include gynecologic intervention, where she is a nationally known expert in the field of uterine fibroid embolization. She was chosen as one of 25 core physicians for the Uterine Fibroid Registry sponsored by CIRREF (Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Research and Education Foundation) and Duke University. The purpose of the FIBROID Registry was to generate data to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of UAE for the treatment of fibroids and to assess the procedure's durability and impact on fertility and quality of life. Other areas of interest include peripheral vascular therapies, renovascular intervention, treatment of vascular malformations and varicose vein ablation.

Bryan C. Hankins, M.D.

Bryan Hankins, M.D. Dr. Hankins joined Irvington Radiologists in July of 2005. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Hankins completed his residency in diagnostic radiology in 2004 and is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He received his sub-specialty training in vascular and interventional radiology at Indiana University Medical Center, which he completed in 2005. He received his Certificate of Additional Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology in 2008.

Dale L. McCarter, M.D., FSIR

Dale L. McCarter, M.D., FSIR Dr. McCarter received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his internship in internal medicine and his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. McCarter completed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Alexandria Hospital in Virginia. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and received his Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology. He was elected as a Fellow in the Society of Interventional Radiology. Dr. McCarter is also affiliated with the Radiological Society of North America and the Indiana State Medical Association.

Since joining Irvington Radiologists, P.C. and the Center for Interventional Radiology, Dr. McCarter has specialized in peripheral vascular disease, varicose vein treatment, spine fractures and pain management.

Scott J. Savader, M.D., FSIR

Scott J. Savader, M.D., FSIR Dr. Savader received his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at University of South Florida in 1989. Dr. Savader completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology in 1990 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where he was an Associate Professor of Radiology and Surgery for 10 years. Dr. Savader is certified by the American Board of Radiology and received his Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He was elected as a Fellow in the Society of Interventional Radiology.

Since joining Irvington Radiologists, P.C. and the Center for Interventional Radiology at Community Hospital East in December 2004, Dr. Savader’s specialties include oncology and dialysis related interventions as well as uterine fibroid embolization.

Joseph W. Yedlicka, Jr., M.D., FSIR

Joseph Yedlicka, Jr., M.D., FSIR Dr. Yedlicka, Jr. is director of vascular and interventional radiology at Community Hospitals. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and graduated with Honors from Rush Medical College (M.D. 1982). He subsequently completed two years of general surgery residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and four years of diagnostic radiology training at Loyola University Medical Center, where he was chief resident. Following a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Minnesota Hospital, he served for three years as Assistant Professor of Radiology at that institution. Dr. Yedlicka was then named director of vascular and interventional radiology at Evanston Hospital/Northwestern University, and Associate Professor of Radiology at Northwestern University. In 1993, Dr. Yedlicka joined Irvington Radiologists, P.C., and became director of vascular and interventional radiology at Community Hospitals of Indianapolis.

Dr. Yedlicka's bibliography includes 41 scientific publications, 28 chapters in six textbooks, and more than 100 medical presentations in the United States and abroad. He received a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, and was elected as a Fellow in the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology in 1998.


Rajat Gupta, M.D.

Rajat Gupta, M.D. Dr. Gupta is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1998. His residency (diagnostic radiology) and fellowship training (interventional radiology) were completed at Indiana University School of Medicine (1999-2004). He is a member of several professional societies, including the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, Association of University Radiologists and Indiana Radiological Society. He has been with RAI since 2004.

John Mail, M.D.

John Mail, M.D. Dr. Mail is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1981. His residency (diagnostic radiology) was completed at Indiana University Medical Center (1985). Dr. Mail held the position of Assistant Professor of Radiology, Indiana University School of Medicine from 1985-1991. He is a member of several professional societies, including the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America and Indiana Radiological Society. He has been with RAI since 1991.

Benedicto Reyes, M.D.

Benedicto Reyes, M.D. Dr. Reyes is board certified by the American Board of Radiology, with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Maryland in 1992. His residency (diagnostic radiology) was completed at Methodist Hospital, Indiana (1996). He subsequently completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Illinois (1997). He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Reyes is also the medical director of the Department of Radiology at Community Hospital South. He has been with RAI since 2000.

Franklin Sequeira, M.D.

Franklin Sequeira, M.D. Dr. Sequeira is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He received his medical degree from St. Johns Medical College, India in 1972. His residency (diagnostic radiology) and fellowship (pediatric radiology) were completed at Indiana University Medical Center (1976-1980). He is a member of numerous professional societies, including American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America and Indiana Radiological Society. He has been with RAI since 1980.

Paul Sheets, M.D.

Paul Sheets, M.D. Dr. Sheets is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1986. His residency (diagnostic radiology) and fellowship (interventional radiology) were completed at Indiana University School of Medicine (1988-1993). He is a member of numerous professional societies, including American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Radiological Society of North America and Indiana Radiological Society. Dr. Sheets is the medical director of the Department of Imaging at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He has been with RAI since 1993.
