App Central: Credentialing application system
In December 2012, the Medical Staff Office at Community Health Network rolled out an online credentialing application system for initial appointments.
The system, called “App Central,” is a web-based product from Cactus Software, creator of our provider database. App Central assists in managing the submission of each provider’s application and other forms. It allows providers to complete their application for initial credentialing from the Internet.
How it works: New providers (both physicians and allied health providers) who want to apply for privileges at one or more of our hospitals will be sent a unique link to login to App Central to complete the interactive credentialing application, upload images or fax back forms. Employed providers will work with their HR recruiter; Independent providers will contact Medical Staff Office at MSO@eCommunity.com to request an application. When finished, providers will e-sign their application.
App Central will be used by the following hospitals in our network:
- Community Heart and Vascular Hospital
- Community Hospital Anderson
- Community Hospital East
- Community Hospital North
- Community Hospital South
In 2013, watch for communications regarding the transition to electronic credentialing reappointments using App Central.

Community is proud to offer an online, completely digital medical staff roster this year, available at MDroster.com. The new online medstaff roster is also accessible on any Internet-enabled smartphone and eliminates the need for distribution of an outdated, printed copy. Physician data can be dynamically updated, guaranteeing the most current contact information is available at all times.
It's easy to find a physician for referral or contact with three ways to search: by physician last name, specialty or market. Searches provide immediate results and contain the most up-to-date physician contact information, profile photo, map of the practice location and even physician videos (when available).
