If you wish to continue your formal education, an associate of science degree may be obtained through Ivy Tech Community College. A bachelor of science degree in radiology may be obtained in education, medical imaging or management. Most colleges and universities will award a radiologic technologist approximately 30 to 40 credit hours towards a degree in a radiology-related field.
Opportunities for advancement are numerous. Other career areas related to radiology include cardiovascular, interventional radiology, sonography, computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and radiation therapy.
